Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of the ABIS LOGISTICS LTD website and the contractual basis on which we provide logistics and freight services.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') apply to all visitors and users of the ABIS LOGISTICS LTD website and to all clients who engage ABIS LOGISTICS LTD for logistics, freight, warehousing, or supply chain services.
By accessing this website or entering into a service agreement with ABIS LOGISTICS LTD, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the website and refrain from engaging our services.
2. Company Information
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD is a company registered in the United Kingdom. Our registered address and company details are available upon request. All service engagements are conducted under UK law unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Website Use
The content published on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. ABIS LOGISTICS LTD makes reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, but does not warrant that the website is free from errors, omissions, or interruptions.
You may not use this website in any manner that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive to other users or to our infrastructure. Automated scraping, data harvesting, or systematic extraction of content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the website for any user who breaches these Terms or engages in conduct that is deemed harmful to the business or its clients.
4. Services Scope
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD provides freight transportation, international shipping, warehousing, cargo management, supply chain coordination, and delivery support services. The precise scope of each engagement is defined in the applicable service agreement or purchase order issued between the parties.
Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer to provide services. A formal service agreement, confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of ABIS LOGISTICS LTD, is required before any operational commitment is made.
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD may engage subcontractors or third-party carriers to fulfil portions of a shipment. Such arrangements do not diminish our documented accountability obligations under the agreed service terms.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely cargo declarations, shipping documentation, and customs information required for each shipment. ABIS LOGISTICS LTD accepts no liability for delays, fines, or losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client.
Clients must ensure that all goods tendered for shipment comply with applicable export control regulations, sanctions lists, and the import requirements of the destination country. Prohibited or restricted goods must be declared in advance and are subject to separate written approval.
6. Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ABIS LOGISTICS LTD's liability for loss of or damage to cargo is limited to the value stated in the applicable service agreement. Where no value is stated, liability is limited to the standard limits prescribed by the governing international convention (CMR, Hague-Visby Rules, or Montreal Convention as applicable).
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of revenue, or business interruption, whether arising under contract, tort, or otherwise.
These limitations apply regardless of whether ABIS LOGISTICS LTD has been advised of the possibility of such losses. Clients who require coverage beyond these limits must arrange appropriate cargo insurance prior to shipment.
7. Force Majeure
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD shall not be in breach of its obligations, nor liable for any delay or failure to perform, where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These include, without limitation: acts of God, natural disasters, port closures, industrial action, civil unrest, government restrictions, pandemics, or failure of third-party infrastructure.
In the event of a force majeure situation, ABIS LOGISTICS LTD will notify the client as promptly as practicable, provide available status updates, and resume performance as soon as conditions permit.
8. Payment Terms
Payment terms for logistics services are specified in each service agreement. Unless otherwise stated in writing, invoices are due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. ABIS LOGISTICS LTD reserves the right to charge interest on overdue balances at the statutory rate applicable under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD may suspend services for accounts that remain materially overdue and has a right of lien over goods in our custody until all outstanding amounts are settled.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and structural design — is the property of ABIS LOGISTICS LTD or its licensed suppliers and is protected under applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any website content without prior written permission.
10. Updates to These Terms
ABIS LOGISTICS LTD reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time. The current version is always published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or ongoing engagement with our services following a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For active service agreements, material changes to contractual terms will be communicated directly to the account holder with a minimum of fourteen (14) days' notice before taking effect.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from these Terms, unless an alternative forum has been agreed in writing as part of a specific service contract.
